胶片画幅有大有小：

• 大画幅
• 中画幅
• 135
• 120

135是最常见的胶片，目前的数码相机也都是以该系统作为参照物

本文涉及的sensor 都是参照该系统来说的。

120：

135 film
胶片大小为 24mm x 36mm
所以全画幅数码相机的传感器尺寸也是 24x36

普通的数码相机（DSLR, MILC, Compact）传感器尺寸要小于 24x36，其比值就是 crop rate
DSLR有很多系统（系统包含传感器的格式），MILC也有很多系统，各个厂商都不统一。不同系统的传感器格式不同。

DSLR中，APS格式 (Advanced Photo System)是最常见的。

• H for "High Definition" (30.2 × 16.7 mm; aspect ratio 16:9; 4×7" print)
• C for "Classic" (25.1 × 16.7 mm; aspect ratio 3:2; 4×6" print)
• P for "Panoramic" (30.2 × 9.5 mm; aspect ratio 3:1; 4×11" print)

下图是常见的 compact camera 和 DSLR 的传感器大小，最外面的框是一个中画幅的传感器。

下图和上图类似，不过加了一个微单的 Nikon 1/CX

微单，微型单反，MILS(Mirrorless interchangable lens camera)是近几年出现的，其功能介于单反和紧凑相机之间，融合了二者的优点，反过来说也继承了二者的缺点。
注意，微单的传感器不一定比单反小，有些也是全画幅的。有些微单用的格式也是单反的传感器格式。比如三星和索尼的微单，用的都是 APS-C。


Compact digital camera formats
Many compact digital cameras use sensors with formats specified in the "inch" system, derived from the outside diameter of the glass envelope of the video camera tube that supported that image size.
譬如富士 F200，CCD 为 1/1.6 英寸。1/1.6 英寸不是指CCD的对角线长度。参见 [1] 中的图。
